About Us

Caring for your little critters like they’re our own.

At Little Critters Vet, we’re more than just a veterinary clinic — we’re part of your pet’s extended family. Located in the heart of our local community, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, personalised care for pets big and small.

Our dedicated team of vets and nurses are passionate about helping animals live happy, healthy lives. Whether your pet
needs a routine check-up, dental care, surgery, or preventative treatments like flea, tick, and worm protection, we’re here to help every step of the way — with warmth, understanding, and trusted experience.

Our Story

Little Critters Vet was founded with a simple goal: to create a clinic where pets feel safe, and owners feel supported. Over the years, we’ve grown into a well-equipped, modern practice — but we’ve never lost our personal touch.

Our journey hasn’t always been easy. In 2022, our clinic was severely impacted by the major South East Queensland flood event,
resulting in significant damage that meant rebuilding from the ground up. It was a challenging chapter that truly tested the strength and resilience of our team—especially Dr Melanie and our dedicated staff.

Throughout the rebuild, we didn’t walk away. Instead, we set up temporary housing on-site and continued operating in a limited
capacity. While we couldn’t offer every service during that time, we remained there—providing what care we could, supporting our clients, and ensuring our patients still had somewhere to turn.

Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, long hours of hard work, and a strong team spirit, we rebuilt the clinic
and came back stronger than ever.

In September 2024, we proudly relocated 5 minutes up the road to 191 Brisbane Road in Booval into a our brand-new, purpose-built premises —designed with resilience in mind. Thanks to this move, we can now confidently say that future flood events are no longer a concern.

These experiences have shaped who we are today: a team that’s practical, prepared, and deeply committed to the wellbeing
of both our patients and their people. We’re proud to stand strong alongside the community that stood by us—and we’ll always be here when you need us most.
